Mumford and Sons - From Troy, OH to Milwaukee, WI

This summer has been such an amazing experience!  I can hardly believe all of the concerts I have been so lucky to attend and bands that I have seen.  As most of you know, I am a true fan of the band Mumford and Sons.  Just this past month I traveled solo to Troy, OH to attend the Gentlemen of the Road tour.  Last year I saw them perform at their Dixon, IL stopover and it practically changed my life.  What an amazing group of gentlemen.  Needless to say, it was a pretty amazing weekend filled with great music, camping, dancing, and just so much fun!

Troy, OH - Gentlemen of the Road

- Those Darlins -

- Rubblebucket -

- Old Crow Medicine Show -

- Mumford and Sons -

Only one day after returning from Troy, OH, I was off again to see them perform!
(crazy I's a long story lol)

Me and Karley traveled to Milwaukee, WI where the Bear's Den and The Vaccines opened up the show for Mumford and Sons, as part of the Full English Tour. was always!

Check out a full review of the show at!

Milwaukee, WI - Marcus Amphitheatre

It was so unblievable to end this amazing "Summer of Concerts" with one of my very favorite bands!  I am sad that summer is over, but I am very excited for the cooler weather of the fall season.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Summer In The City - An Outfit Highlight

When I told my friend Amanda I was in need of a dress for Lollapalooza this year, she delivered!

Amanda is the founder and owner of a clothing label called Redskew.  Currently specializing in custom pieces, Redskew is a Chicago based company built on the the basic principles of design.

I wore this festive, floral dress on the Saturday of Lolla.  It was the perfect style for the ocassion and best of all?  It has pockets!

This sign is available on my Etsy store!

Of Course I HAD to look my best for seeing Mumford and Sons!  They closed out the Red Bull stage that night to more than 100,000 people.  It was an amazing experience to see them in my home city!

Here are a few photos that I captured on a Sony Cyber-shot.  Not bad for a point and shoot!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  Keep an eye out here in the next month for photos from my trip to Troy, OH for the Mumford and Sons Gentlemen of the Road stopover!

Much Love!

Mumford and Sons - Camden, NJ East Coast Tour

What an amazing weekend!  My very best friend Karley and I braved the elements and traveled to Philadelphia to see Mumford and Sons play in New Jersey!   The car ride was a crazy, long trip over twelve hours, but it was well worth it.  Of course Mumford and Sons put on a phenomenal show, opened by Haim and Ben Howard.  I was surprised that they started the concert with the first song on their latest album, Babel.  They performed a collection of songs from both of their albums, including a solid favorite,
Little Lion Man.

The concert was unforgettable, but the highlight of the weekend was meeting Ted Dwane, Mumford and Sons' bass player!  That's right!  Me and Karley just ran into him on the sidewalk, heading to the Liberty Bell.  It was so wonderful and he was incredibly nice!  I heard that Mumford and Sons is rumored to play at Lollapalooza in Chicago this summer, so we are definitly planning on going to see them there.

I hope you enjoyed all of the photos and that you have a great rest of your week!

Dose Market

On Sunday Karley and I went to our first ever Dose Market here in Chicago.  I have been wanting to check out this "fancy flea market" since I moved here last year!  Dose takes place once a month, all year long, in the River East Art Center.  This month the market was themed around Valentine's Day with festive food vendors, homemade valentines, and even a traveling photo booth!  One of my favorite parts of Dose was these AH-MAZING cupcakes from Chicago Cupcake!  I wanted to take every single one home with me!  Of course, I couldn't help but snap a bunch of photos while at the market.
Adore them all bellow! --------------->

I'm pretty much in LOVE with this crystal necklace that I spotted at the market by Shades of Grey!  *mental wish list*

The original art work on display by Deborah Baker was so fun!  I adored her homemade valentines!

My grandpa, a retired dentist, would be proud of me sporting these realistic, teeth earrings by Dallas Maynard Jewelry!  Another item to add to my growing Dose wish list.

The phenomenal, pink velvet cupcake that I still dream about!  Seriously.  It was amazing you guys!

It was a great day for "Dose-ing"!  I wore this cozy, patterned sweater dress by snap and paired it with my favorite pair of tights by Simply Vera Wang.  I finished off my boho chic look with a pair of Guess ankle boots and a braided, statement necklace, which was a fantastic, thrifting find!  Another great thrifted item is my vintage, leather Coach purse, my new favorite bag.
The next Dose Market is March 10th, my birthday weekend, so I am definitely looking forward to that!  I am also looking forward to seeing Mumford and Sons in concert this weekend in New Jersey! Eeeeeek!  Yeah....I just squealed a little.  Keep an eye out here for my next blog post featuring photos from the concert!

Much love <3

Mumford and Sons - Dixon, IL

Hello wonderful people!  I did my magic disappearing act again this month and I really apologize that I haven't been posting more.  Good news though!  My schedule at work will be changing so I will get my blogging day back.  YAY! I am also doing some blog revamping, so please let me know how you like the changes.  My posts will be more photo focused with a larger emphasis on my own personal style. :)
So last weekend I attended the concert of the century...the best of the best...the hottest band of all time...Mumford and Sons!  It wasn't just any concert was a camping stopover in Dixion, IL as part of the Gentlemen of the Road tour.
It was a whole day full of great music with supporting acts like Apache Relay, The Very Best, and Gogol Bordello.  I went with my very best friend Karley and some new friends from work.
Mumford and Sons took over the whole town of Dixon for the weekend, so there was plenty of local food and drink to be sampled and fun to be had.
The best part of the entire weekend, next to watching Mumford and Sons rock out the big stage in front of a sea of people, was watching them play in the Dixon Theatre with Uncle Jerry Douglas!  What a fantastic surprise.
I will remember this concert for the rest of my life, telling my grandchildren about it when I am old and grey.  I was so happy I was able to capture a few moments with my camera.  I hope you all enjoy these photos!
What concert has changed your life so far?  Who would you really like to see play live?

Thanks everyone for stopping by and have a great Monday!
