It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but I am back!
I have had a lot of fun going to events, and concerts, so I wanted to catch you all up on what I have been up to.
The evening of April 6th
Ellie Goulding performed at the Lincoln Park, North Avenue Best Buy. I went to go see her perform with my friend and roommate…well I didn’t actually get to see her. There were too many “tweens” to get close enough for a clear view, but I did get a few photos! She sang about a half hour set and then signed copies of her debut album, Lights.
If you haven't heard her stuff, she is wonderfully talented! Kind of like soft techno meets Ke$ha, with a sprinkle of Sara Bareilles.
I also attended an event at Ruby Room, located on West Division, with my wonderful friend, Amber McCulloch, of Style Plus Curves. We were pampered with makeup touch-ups, refreshed hairstyles, and the unique opportunity to have our CHAKRAs read. My reading result was CHAKRA 4 (heart), which apparently indicates my openness to love. I can only hope this means good things for the future!
I was thrilled to find a beautiful creme to shadow stick, in a gold shimmer color by Susan Posnick and a brilliant blue, all-natural polish by SCOTCH.
After being inspired by Ellie Goulding's new hair style, shaving one side of her head, just above the ear, I decided to finally cut my hair! I have been wanting to try out this style for over a year, so even though it was shocking at first, I was so happy with the results...especially since it was cut on a whim by my roommate.
My other days off of work were spent “thrifting” with my roommate at our favorite store, The Brown Elephant and some new favorites, Ragstock and Hollywood Mirror. My favorite finds? A Crate & Barrel lamp for only $4 and a new blouse for only $1.99!
I hope you all had a great past couple of weeks too!
